Women in the DPRK today are pushing forward reliably one wheel of the buildup of a great prosperous powerful country, blooming beautifully as the flower of life, the flower of  country and the flower of Songun era.

   In the past women in the DPRK had suffered ill-treatment and humiliation as the plunderers´ toy or as domestic servants even with no name of themselves but, today, they enjoy the worthwhile life as the dignified masters of the society. This reality shows clearly that the DPRK is the "paradise of women" rare in the world.

   Among Korean women there are representatives of the Supreme People´s Assembly of the DPRK, People´s artistes and People´s sports women noted woman doctors of scientific achievements.

    Under the outdated feudal Confucian moral principles in the feudal era and in the Japanese colonial rule Korean women had to be withered before blooming  like the balsam under the fence, being trampled down their elementary rights and dignity.

   Dramatic change of fortune could be provided to the Korean women after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country and built a new world of people.

   Women in the DPRK reveal their beauty more splendidly in the era of Songun.

 Though busy with Songun inspection, Kim Jong Il provides women with  beneficent affection so that they can fully demonstrate their talents and wisdom. He met woman officials and innovators, took photo sessions with them and looked after their life with parental love and  some times ago  sent a large quantity of wild honey and  invigorants and updated medical instruments to the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital called as the parents´ home of women.

    Women in the north are provided  with excellent treatment ranging from giving birth to a child to education without cost under the warm loving care of the great leaders. The primary food factories and the fish and poultry production bases constructed in the different parts of the country make women keep houses with ease and  take part in their work as energetically  as men do.

   To look into the world,  two-thirds of  illiterates are women and 60% of the entire population are forced to hard labour and  many girls are trampled down in the red-light districts.

   Contrary to this, the women in the DPRK enjoy the sovereign rights and genuine life to their hearts´ content in the woman respecting, feminist world. 

   They are responsible and devotional in various jobs they are assigned, and at the same time,  good housewives  and mothers taking care of their children and husbands and running their houses.

   Thanks to these women the north can  advance forward more vigorously toward the building of a great prosperous powerful nation in spite of all sorts of trials and difficulties.

   Saying that women in the DPRK can come into full bloom as the flower of life and the flower of the country thanks to the warm bosom of Kim Jong Il who is building a grand socialist flower garden of human love, the secretary of a society for the research of women´s human rights wrote:

   "...The north deserves to be called the ´paradise of women´ because women, one half of social constituents,  are the object of respect, not the object of ill-treatment and humiliation. Women in the north are provided fully and systematically with equal rights with men in the political, economic, social and cultural fields by the Law on Sex Equality. The north Korean women are appreciated and sung publicly as the flower of the country.

   That the north has turned into a ideal society of woman welfare is entirely attributed to the sun that provides women with all  benefits enough to bloom them beautifully. Flower-garden devoid of the sun is unthinkable. Women´s benevolent sun is, indeed,  Kim Jong Il, the great sun in the 21st century. "

   Under the warm rays of great sun Kim Jong Il women in the DPRK will come into fuller bloom as the flower of life  and the flower of era and our country will shine forever as the "paradise of women".
