아이들의 궁전 옥류아동병원

옥류아동병원은 병원이 아니라 작은 궁전이나 고급호텔 같아 보인다. 보도에 의하면 병원에는 무균화, 무진화가 최상의 수준에서 보장된 수술실들과 치료실, 검사실, 입원실들과 함께 학생들과 유치원아이들을 위한 교실들, 실내놀이장들이 있다. 그뿐 아니라 멀리 지방에서 환자들을 후송해 올 수 있게 마련된 헬리콥터 착륙장도 있다. 

 

병원이 2013년에 문을 연 이후 선천성 심장병 등 어려운 수술들을 성공적으로 한 것뿐만 아니라 8만 명의 아이들이 진찰과 치료를 받았다고 한다. 또한 인터넷의료제도로 먼 지방의 많은 아이들도 혜택을 받고 있다고 한다. 병원의 명랑하고 편안한 실내장식과 장난감 같이 예쁜 의료기기들로 하여 진찰대에 눕히면 아파 울던 아이도 금새 울음을 그칠 것 같다.

Hospital popular among children

 

 

 Okryu Children’s Hospital has become popular among people and their children in the DPRK.

 

 

 

 Marshal Kim Jong Un made sure that the modern children’s hospital was built true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and named it “Okryu Children’s Hospital”.

 

 The hospital has treatment wards and rooms, operating rooms, sickrooms, study rooms, amusement rooms and rest places.

       

        

 

 

 

  

 

 The hospital is putting treatment on a regular and standardized basis and widely generalizing the achievements made at the heart-blood vein surgical department and gastroenterology department in all other clinical departments.

 

 An eye-opening success was achieved in the difficult operation to cure congenital heart disease.

 

 More than 80,000 children from across the country have been examined and treated and hundreds of serious cases and children suffering from congenital disease been cured since the opening of the hospital.

 

 

 

 

 

 Telemedicine system was established at the hospital in December 2013 to connect provincial children’s hospitals. Since then at least 1,200 children received cutting-edge medical treatment and dozens of children whose lives had hung in the balance were successfully treated at children’s hospitals in North Phyongan, Jagang, North Hamgyong, and other provinces.
